What in the World Is a Wedding Content Creator?

Have you heard of wedding content creation but have no idea what it is and how it differs from a videographer? Then, you should definitely keep reading this blog post. Wedding content creation is becoming increasingly popular in the Netherlands and other parts of the world. Not only do I work as a wedding content creator, but I have also hired one for my wedding when I got married. So let’s get into it.

What Does a Wedding Content Creator Do?

A wedding content creator does many things. Typically, the content is captured with a phone or some type of camera.

  • They take behind-the-scenes videos and photos of your wedding day or event.
  • They film trending sounds that interest you. Here is one example and another example.
  • They can take cool shots of your wedding day with a camera that most videographers wouldn’t use. Here is one example and another example.
  • They take videos throughout the day and then make several edited videos with music and text from those clips. Here is one example of that.
  • They take photos and videos in both landscape and portrait orientations, depending on your preference.
  • They provide you with every single photo and video they take of your day.
  • You’ll receive all the videos and pictures within a few days of your wedding or event.

What’s the Difference Between a Wedding Content Creator and a Videographer?

The main differences between a wedding content creator and a videographer are the camera they use, the amount of footage, and the orientation of the footage.

A wedding content creator usually uses a phone, sends you every single video they take, and films mostly in vertical orientation if that’s what the client wants. A videographer uses a camera, provides only one edited video of up to seven minutes (or more, depending on the package), and shoots in landscape orientation.

Which Wedding Vendor Is Best for Me?

Some couples choose to hire both a wedding content creator and a videographer. Most family members want to take videos and photos of the couple’s special day. But as a couple, you want your guests to stay focused and in the moment. You also don’t want everyone’s phones to be in all the photos and videos of your special day. A wedding content creator can be the only one using their phone during your ceremony, dinner, and party.

You may also want to share the pictures and videos on social media or with family and friends immediately rather than waiting weeks or even months for the content. A wedding content creator will send you all of the videos and pictures within a few days of your wedding day.

Hiring a wedding content creator is usually a more affordable option as they don’t use as expensive equipment and software as a videographer.

A videographer is excellent if you just want one cinematic video of your day in landscape orientation.

What I Offer as a Wedding Content Creator

As a wedding content creator based in the Netherlands, I would love to capture your special day, whether that be your wedding day, anniversary party, or another occasion. I am also willing and able to travel if you’re not located in the Netherlands.

I offer several edited videos, as well as all the videos and photos I took of the day. Additionally, I provide a full video of your ceremony in either landscape or portrait orientation, along with a few special shots from your big day. The first two are taken with my iPhone, and the last two are taken with my Insta360 camera.
